We're Cycling across Vietnam in aid of Africa Now!
Never knowingly turned down a challenge, we thought we would raise the bar for ourselves this year. Following an inspirational conference, from the company Impact, on sustainability; I phoned Katharine and suggested we do something to help this cause. She replied that she had always wanted to cycle across Vietnam…and that is how our adventure began.
We have selected the charity “Africa Now” because it has a close fit with the vision of creating a truly sustainable community in a region that would benefit the greatest. Helping small businesses particularly appeals to us, given our own careers.
Cycling across Vietnam is clearly challenging and will require dedicated training, commitment during the real event and, most importantly, a top-quality gel saddle. Nevertheless, we are excited by the prospect of seeing such a wonderful country up close.
The most difficult part will be raising enough contributions to reach our target of £5,500. Any help...greatly appreciated!
